Recently, I was in the process of crosslinking the websites. My observations were as follows:
There is a Keyword Firewall that I was targeting for http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/ site that has relevancy but with not much content in it. So I decided upon cross-linking the site with the other relevant sites in the group. Following case study was done to arrive at a conclusion.
Why do we need to cross-link pages of a website, or why is it important?
We need to perform this task to rank highly for a product’s keywords when users search for those products in the search engines.
How is it done?
Each site should link to, and be linked from existing web sites. This can be done via “Comodo products” page that lists all other products. Each product should then have at least one specific page on that site that explains the product, and gives us the opportunity to add multiple links across.
Case study Conclusion: A site can have a specific page and the other sites that need to send the traffic to the landing pages will give good amount of content with the targeted keywords pointing to the targeted website.
