As we all know that the Search Marketing involves promoting website(s) on natural or Organic Search and Pay per click campaigns on different search engines such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, Mivaetc., apart from many other promotional techniques.
Here I would like to explain to the Internet search marketers whether it is good to go for PPC when Website(s) already ranks on the top of the organic listings for a given keywords.
It is a case study on the click stream data using Google Analytics done on Paid and Un-paid keywords through Google, Yahoo and MSN search Engines. It is evident that from both of the promotional techniques showed up almost equal number of clicks and conversions.
In my opinion, it is perhaps due the user behaviour and eye balls are unpredictable and are likely to click on either Sponsored listing of a given website or on an Organic website. For this reason it is better to promote a website using both Paid Search and Organic Search.
In other words when a website sustains a high competition on Organic Search and comes on top 5 positions, it is better we maintain the Sponsored listings for an user behaviour that provokes click on a listing is unpredictable.
